Serving 6 years in the community! Happy Birthday Full Circle!

Just doing some reflecting from the last 6 years serving in this capacity. It has been amazing to meet so many people, to be involved in there lives, to hear their hurts and accomplishments and to walk alongside of them through good and bad and love them! For this I (we) are blessed. It is also rare to meet volunteers that serve faithfully because they love Jesus and everyone they serve regardless of the imperfections around them. Thank you for those who gave long term commitments and still are! You know who you are! For the people that judged and criticized, you have inspired me to be better and strive not to do so. Leading, developing and maintaining an organization through managing, coordinating, building relationships, networking/raise funding, accounting/admin, implementing a weekly outreach to include dinner, talk, children programs, support groups, transportation, set up and clean up, putting out multiple fires all at once, loving others and building relationships all at the same time with limited help and a busy personal and work life is not easy. We took on this endeavor because God gave us a vision, heart and desire! We thought we would raise more funds sooner, my husband would be able to work at Full Circle, have more committed volunteers and paid staff to help us, but we did not. Our shortcomings are ever so present under stress! We ask for grace and forgiveness for not being perfect! Our heart is to serve our King and bring life changing messages, tools and most of all love to the hurting. We are all broken in some way. Our goal has been to have a support base. Someone recently shared we are a place of love. Thank you for that. Thank you to those who see beyond the imperfections. The phrase “you never know until you walked in my shoes” is ever so accurate! Jesus says our treasures are in heaven! I am looking forward to that! Thank you everyone for the opportunity to serve you! You have been and are a delight!

What is the biggest area that makes us unique?

What is the biggest area that makes us unique?

`We focus on the children and teens going through transition along with their families! We teach them a better way of life with JESUS and RECOVERY PRINCIPLES and how to communicate, make better choices and change behavior age appropriately! We have a before, during and aftercare support system for the whole family that includes a weekly fellowship, food delivery, networking for furniture/household items, sponsorship, friendship and more! Full Circle’s Fellowship temporarily at 1148 N. Melrose Dr. in Vista CA

We were thrown off course in January when we found out we needed to leave the building we were at for 2 years on Saturdays for our fellowship. That was not on the New Year’s agenda for Full Circle.

As part of the recovery process, we teach about how we are powerless and our life has become unmanageable. And also how a power greater then our self restores us to sanity. Well this has applied to our situation 10 fold. Ouch! We teach this and yet it was difficult for us to handle and apply! We are doing so day by day. As with any unwanted change, plan, addiction it is hard to let go and accept.

A friend reminded me about this scripture verse which I am holding on to.

“And my God will meet all our needs according to HIS riches in glory in Christ Jesus! And a word picture she saw was that God has something up his sleeves…..and HIS sleeves are big! Hmmmmm….

Well so far……one of the community resources we work with has graciously allowed us to move our Saturday gig to their location for several weeks as we search out locations for rent. We are uncovering a lot more then we bargained for in the community, but are trying to be steadfast that God will provide the perfect location for Full Circle at this time. Not only for the Saturday fellowship, but also for our expanded services such as youth rallies,
resource center, mid week groups/activities/studies, storage for furniture and some food distribution.

Hopeful and clinging to God and our vision and that He hasn’t taken us this far with out much more ahead.

If you would consider a donation for our building and operation fund, please click on the pay pal button or you can write a check to Full Circle!

Thank you and God Bless!

Here we go 2014!

Ah! A must needed holiday break! We enjoyed last Saturday off even though we continue to serve during the week when we can! We ended the year with a spectacular Christmas party for our peeps! Good food, gift cards donated for adults, toys for tots gifts for the children and a “divine” meeting that led to local students with their leader Steve perform a dazzling Christmas performance with a light show! There were no seats left! I will post some pictures here soon.

Now we are back on for January on Saturdays! We wait with anticipating for tonight and the future. We are praying for more of HIS presence and balance to meet the labor intensity and organization that is required for preparation for this night. We look forward to meeting more volunteers to give of their time, church partnerships to serve Saturday and to grow to help continuously with the felt needs of many.

To kick off this new year we will be focusing on the felt needs and partnerships, some grant application submissions, more volunteers and the youth!!! THE YOUTH! Where it all started for me (SUSAN)! We have some Drug prevention and awareness ideas to present through Full Circle, a team of youth leaders that will hopefully grown and more activities!
